In addition to the daily center of the plate meal option, students have access to multiple daily options as well. These include, but are not limited to, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cheese sandwich, tuna or turkey sandwich, a hummus grab and go, and a chickpea wrap.

Milk Options

Chocolate Milk

Under the National School Lunch and Breakfast programs, milk must be offered to students as part of the meal. OFNS provides low fat white milk, non-fat white milk, and non-fat chocolate milk. Schools that wish to eliminate chocolate milk as an option should communicate their request to the School Food Service Manager assigned to their school

Alternative Milk Options

Children who cannot consume milk due to a dairy allergy or lactose intolerance may receive a milk substitute (soy or lactose-free milk). Medical documentation is required for School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program. A parent’s written note is acceptable for Child & Adult Care Food Programs, which include After School Snack and Supper programs only.

Juice

Starting in Fall 2021, juice will no longer be offered on breakfast or lunch menus.

Seasonality

OFNS is consistently looking to utilize fresh fruit and produce based on the seasonality of the item. Please refer to the menu for featured fresh fruit and produce being offered.
